Bookshelf in livingroom

I will have more B's this time for the ABC-along.

A is for Artists! I have joined the ABC Along on Ravelry, and am posting my picture here for A. It's the Street Artists in San Francisco - I see them every day at lunchtime.

I will try to get a better picture this week to post showing them in a better light. It's been raining.

Babette Blanket

I was inspired by my Yahoo Crochet group to start the Babette Blanket from the Interweave Crochet in the Spring 2006 issue. I saw a bunch of them on Ravelry, and all the colors and the pattern itself look really bright and cheery.

Here is a picture of the yarns I am using. I started making a bunch of the two row, and now will work in larger ones so I don't get stuck and bored with just the little ones. Someone on the Ravelry Babette group suggested putting it together as you go so you keep on getting inspired.

Here's the picture -

I am about to have a big birthday - and we are going to Mendocino. I'll post some pictures after that. I hear there is a really nice yarn store in Mendocino, too. I'll see what happens!

Just finished my first sweater

I just finished my first sweater at midnight last night. It's for afghansforAfghans, and I learned a lot while knitting it. I had not knit a sweater before, and putting it together was fun. It's a good thing I sewed a lot in high school.

My husband took it to the AFSC this morning, so it is in time for the Youth Campaign air shipment. I feel good that I finished it. It was from a Knitty.com free pattern called "Duo", and I had no problem knitting it.

I will post a picture ASAP.
